BHAKTAPUR: Suraksha Cricket Club and TipTop-XI entered the quarter-finals of the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cricket Tournament here at the Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya grounds on Monday.

Suraksha defeated Makwanpur Cricket Club by five runs to top Group A. In the 18-over-a-side match, Suraksha scored 139-7 riding on Avinash Karn’s 48 off 37 that included six boundaries and a six. In reply, Makwanpur were restricted to 134-3. Ravi Thapa top scored with 41 off 38 balls hitting six boundaries.

Likewise, TipTop saw off National Cricket School, who had already made it to the last eight, by seven runs. Prakash Bista, who hit 10 fours, scored 40-ball 65 to help TipTop post 142-9 in 20 overs. In reply, National managed 138-8 riding on Ravi Shah’s 42-ball 47 that included eight boundaries.
