Lalitpur, September 24:

Leaders Swoyambhu Youth Club were held to a 2-2 draw by Kumari Youth Club while Kathmandu Club beat Tushal Club 2-1 in the Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division League Football today.

In the first match, Lekhu Gurung put Swoyambhu ahead in the 47th minute before Bijay Majhi levelled the scores six minutes later. Bishal Tamang gave Kumari the lead in the

67th only to be equalised by Nabin Gurung a minute later for Swoyambhu.

Despite the draw, Swoyambhu lead the standings with 16 points from six matches while Kumari Club have 11, the same as Birgunj Youth Academy.

In another match, Kathmandu Club bounced back from a goal down to earn three points to climb fourth in the table with 10 points. Manish Lama put Tushal ahead in the 13th minute but Rup Chandra Bista scored a brace to lift his team. Tushal are second from bottom with three points.

Sano Gaucharan Youth Club, who have yet to earn a point, will play Koilapani Polestar Club and Birgunj will meet Himalayan Sherpa Club on Thursday.
