PALPA: Taplejung and Rautahat advanced to the final of the ANFA Women’s Football League on Wednesday. In the semi-final match played in Palpa, Taplejung thrashed Kathmandu 4-0 riding on a brace from Anushka Sherpa as well as goals from Rekha Limbu and Anita Basnet.

Sherpa opened the scoring in the 11th minute and Limbu doubled the tally in the 59th minute. Basnet made it 3-0 in the 74th minute before Sherpa scored her second and team’s fourth goal in the 82nd minute.

In Syangja, Rautahat recorded a 4-0 win against Morang. Anjali Yonjan scored the opening goal in the 14th minute and Rashmi Ghising netted second in the 58th minute. Anita KC found the back of the nets in the 88th minute, while Nisha Thokar made it 4-0 in the stoppage time. The final will be played in Palpa on Thursday.
