Team to go to Japan

KATHMANDU: A six-member team is on Friday leaving for Japan to participate in the 15th Japan Open International Taekwondo Championship slated for April 23-25 in Osaka.

Ayush Bohara (25kg), Prajun Kuikel (27kg), Vivek Shrestha (29kg) and Tilak Lama (74kg) will take part in men’s section, while Pragati Kuikel (25kg) will participate in women’s category bout.

All the players will also take part in poomsae.

Nepalese Taekwondo Academy President Ashok Khadka will accompany the players as coach, while Dil Gurung, President of Unity Taekwondo Academy, Hong Kong, will join the team as manager.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team on Saturday.
