Teams off to Thimpu
KATHMANDU: A 15-member taekwondo team on Thursday left for Bhutan to participate in the second International Taekwondo Championship and first International Taekwondo Poomse slated for May 20-22 in Thimpu. Situ Singh Maskey, Supriya Tamang, Anjila Yonzen, Susmita Thapa, Parbati Gurung, Sishir Shrestha, Deepak Neupane, Arjun Chhetri and Sanjay Byanjankar will compete in the tournaments. President of Nepal Taekwondo Association Prakash Sumsher Rana accompanied the players to Bhutan as the team leader. Saroj Baskota is the team manager, while Kumar Lama Ghising and Prakash Man Raj Bhandari are coaches. Referees Norbu Lama and Rabin Joshi also left for Thimpu to officiate matches.
