Bista feted in US

KATHMANDU: Nepali Janasampark Samiti America (NJSA) felicitated taekwondo ace Deepak Bista in New York on Sunday. Nepal’s permanent representative to the United Nations and the United States of America, Madhu Raman Acharya, handed over the token of love and felicitation letter to Bista — the second Nepali player to qualify for the Olympics. The three-time South Asian Games gold medallist and two-time Asian Games bronze medal winner Bista — who had gone to America to participate in the International Referee Seminar organised by US Taekwondo Federation in Las Vegas from February 7-10 — was honoured at an interaction programme. NJSA President Ananda Bista and General Secretary Bed Prasad Kharel among others were also present on the occasion. — HNS
