KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is scheduled to organise the qualifying tournament for the ‘C’ Division League here from July 4. The participating teams have been divided into four groups with winners from each group qualifying for the ‘C’ Division League. In all 60, teams are participaring in the qualifiers,said the ANFA on Friday.— HNS

Nepal to play Aussies

KATHMANDU: Nepali national team, who is undergoing closed camp training, will play Twenty20 cricket matches against Australian World Collegians team at the Tribhuvan University Stadium here on June 30 to July 2. The Australian team will arrive in Kathmandu on June 29, said Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in a release here on Friday. The Australian team are also slated to play a match against a local Nepali team during their stay in Nepal, said CAN. — HNS

Gul ruled out

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Asia Cup campaign suffered a crucial blow after frontline paceman Umar Gul was ruled out of the rest of the tournament, chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed said on Friday. The 24-year-old limped off the field during Pakistan’s six-wicket defeat against India here on Thursday. — AFP
