Soaltee postpone Golf

KATHMANDU: Soaltee Crowne Plaza on Tuesday postponed their scheduled Soaltee Crowne Plaza Annual Golf Tournament for May 24. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held on May 10 at the Gokarna Golf Course. The organisers, in a statement, cited “current national scenario” as the reason for the postponement. — THT Online


NCC claim LACM Cup

LALITPUR: Rajendra Deula scored a hat-trick as Nepal Commerce Campus (NCC) came from behind to beat hosts LACM ‘A’ 3-1 in the final of the third LACM Inter-college Football Tournament on Tuesday. LACM took lead in the 31st minute through Utsav Shrestha and Deula scored all three goals in the second half — 44th, 54th and 70th minutes — in the 70-minute match. Deula was adjudged the player of the tournament, while Sumit Shrestha of LACM ‘A’ was declared the Attsh man of the match. Krishna Raj Rai and Sandarbha Shrestha, both from LACM, were the joint highest scorers of the tournament with six goals each. A total of 12 teams participated in the tournament. Former Nepali national football team skipper Upendra Man Singh gave away prizes to the winners. — THT Online


Club looted

KANCHANPUR: A group of unidentified people looted sports materials from Tripura Yuba Club office in Bangaun of Kanchanpur district Monday night. Dhirendra Gurung, an official of the club, said burglers looted dresses of the sportspersons from the cupboard, shields and medals won in different tournaments and sewing machines worth of Rs 200,000. Police said investigation upon the incident is going on. — RSS
