KATHMANDU: Sadish Pradhan scored 23 points as Himalayan White House beat DAV College 53-52 in the Everest Cup Men’s Open Basketball Tournament organised by Everest Basketball Academy in Kirtipur on Sunday. Nabin Shrestha netted 20 for DAV. In other matches, Prime Club outplayed Bernhardt College 60-21 riding on Wisdom Pandey’s 19 points; Rishi Robertson netted 25 points in South Siders’ 63-25 victory over Paradise; and Anil Maharjan scored 11 points as Golden Gate defeated KNK College 58-48. — HNS

Baluwatar Club thrash Kerala

KATHMANDU: Sunam Gautam took five wickets and scored unbeaten 21 as Baluwatar Cricket Club (BCC) thrashed Kerala Best Twenty20 Cricket Team by 10 wickets in a friendly Twenty20 cricket match here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium on Sunday. Batting first, Kerala were bowled out for 60 runs in 12.2 overs, while BCC reached 61 for no loss. Sharath (17) was the only Kerala batsman to score in double figures. Prithu Baskota took two wickets, while Devendra Yadav and Manish Gurung claimed one each for BCC. In reply, Sunam hit 21 and Abhinaya Khatiwada scored unbeaten 19.
