Pollock sets up win

JOHANNESBURG: Shaun Pollock took three wickets on his return to international cricket as South Africa beat New Zealand by three wickets in a Twenty20 international on Friday. All-rounder Pollock took 3-28 as New Zealand struggled to 129-7 in their 20 overs. AB de Villiers hit the only half-century of the match as South Africa made hard work of their reply before tailender Johan Botha hit a boundary off Kyle Mills to seal victory with one ball to spare. Jones’ results erased

MONTE CARLO: The once-glittering career of Marion Jones shines no longer after her Olympic and world championship titles won in the past seven years were stripped from the record books. All of her results dating to September 2000 were annulled by the IAAF because of her admission to taking a designer steroid called “the clear” from September 2000 to July 2001. Track and field’s governing body also told her to return prize-money from that period. But it’s her teammates who could also end up paying a price for her doping, having helped her win Olympic medals. — AP
