TIME OUT

Henry ruled out

LONDON: Arsenal striker Thierry Henry will miss the rest of the season because of injuries. Henry damaged groin and stomach muscles on Tuesday when the Gunners were knocked out of the Champions League by PSV Eindhoven. His latest injuries mean he will also miss France’s next three Euro 2008 qualifying games. “Thierry Henry will be out for a minimum of three months,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on Friday. — AP

Adebayor penalised

LONDON: Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor was handed a further one-match ban and fined $14,500 by the English FA after being found guilty of failing to leave the pitch following his League Cup final red card. He is already serving a three-match ban for his dismissal against Chelsea on February 25 and has now been hit with an additional punishment for “reacting aggressively and failing to leave the field of play immediately”. — AFP
