Budokaido Karate

KATHMANDU: Sunakothi Budokaido and Lalit Academy Budokaido branch are jointly organising the first Nation-wide Full Contact Budokaido Karate Tournament in Lalitpur from Friday. In all, 150 players in five weight categories in men’s section — 30kg, 35kg, 40kg, 50kg and above 55kg — and 40 in women’s open section will take part in the two-day event. The estimated cost for the event is Rs 400,000 and the organisers will bear all the expenses participating nine districts — Tanahun, Dhangadi, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Mohattari, Kavre, Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. — HNS
