LALITPUR: Ilam and Sunsari entered the final of the U-14 DDC Chairman Cup Football Championship here at ANFA Complex on Tuesday. Rojit Gurung’s 45th minute solitary goal helped Makwanpur beat Ilam while Sunsari beat Nawalparasi 3-1. Gyan Bahadur Khatri struck twice and Sumit Ale one for Sunsari. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Bernhardt, ED-Mark, Learning Realm International (LRI) and KVC ‘Yellow’ won their matches at the currently underway Inter-college Friendly Basketball Tournament, which has been organised by Kathmandu Valley College (KVC). NEW DELHI: England captain Michael Vaughan is returning home for treatment on a recurring knee injury, striking a major blow to his team just two days before the first Test against India. England is scheduled to play three Tests and seven ODIs against India, beginning on March 1. England vice captain Marcus Trescothick has already left the Indian tour for personal reasons.
