Sneijder ruled out

MADRID: Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder will be out for at least four weeks after injuring his left leg during a Spanish league match. The Netherlands international pulled up clutching his left thigh on Saturday after making a run in the 90th minute of Madrid's 1-0 victory at Recreativo Huelva. He was taken off on a stretcher with what medical scans confirmed on Sunday was a muscle tear. Gabriel Heinze missed the game with a knee problem, and Madrid said they were evaluating the defender's day-to-day progress. — AP
