St Xavier’s defeated HIMS 4-0, Herman Gminer beat Tri-Padma 3-0 and Manju Shree outplayed Amar School 4-1. — HNS

KATHMANDU: TIA and LRI won their matches at the third Milan Inter-school Girls’ Basketball Tournament, which has been organised by Milan Vidya Mandir to mark the 78th birthday of Queen Mother Ratna and 41st Children’s Day. TIA beat GEMS 20-16, and LRI edged past Pennwood 19-16 riding on Shristi’s 14 points. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Prabhat Dawadi of Ganesh Memorial School won the Hari Ram Joshi Memorial U-14 Table Tennis Tournament beating Pradeep Rokka of Bijeshwori 3-2. Dawadi earned Rs 3,000 while Rokka received Rs 1,000. Bhola Shrestha of AVM and Rabin Maharjan of BDS finished joint third pocketing Rs 750 each. Tournament director Jivram Shrestha gave away prizes to the winners of the one-day event participated in by 147 players of 45 schools. — HNS
