Jventus take Abbiati

ROME:

Italian champions Juventus have accepted AC Milan’s offer of help in solving their goalkeeping crisis by taking Christian Abbiati on loan from their Serie A rivals for the forthcoming season. Juve will be without Gianluigi Buffon for the first three months of the season after the Italy international dislocated his right shoulder in last week’s Berlusconi trophy match against AC Milan. And with Buffon’s deputy Antonio Chimenti not considered good enough, Juve have taken up AC Milan’s offer made by AC Milan owner and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. — AFP
