TAPLEJUNG: Departmental sides Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal Police Club extended their unbeaten run to three matches in the second Pathibhara National Open Men’s Volleyball Tournament here on Friday.

In the day’s matches, TAC defeated Nepal APF Club and NPC saw off Central Region in straight sets to accumulate nine points. TAC registered a 26-24, 25-19, 25-17 victory over APF, while NPC defeated Central 25-9, 25-16, 25-13.

A total of five teams are competing in the tournament which is being played in round robin format and Saturday’s match between TAC and NPC will decide the champions.

Likewise, the match between APF (three points) and Western (two) will decide the third place. Central, who have one point from four matches, are already out of the race.
