Tribhuvan Army Club advanced to the final of the 12th Tuborg Bikash Running Shield International Invitational Football Tournament here at the Campachaur grounds today.

The Armymen defeated Morang Football Club 2-0 in the first semi-final match of the tournament. Santosh Tamang and Raju Tamang scored a goal each to guide TAC to the final. TAC will take on the winners of Friday’s second semi-final match between CMG Club Sankata and Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club.

After a goalless first half, Santosh opened the scoring in the 66th minute before Raju doubled the tally a minute later.

Santosh Tamang was named the man-of-the-match and received Rs 10,000. The winners of the tournament will receive Rs 300,000 along with the trophy, while the runners-up will earn Rs 150,000.
