United Academy win inaugural

The first Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) Cup Cricket Tournament kicked off today. Hosts CCRC-A lost to United Academy (UA) in a competitive, exciting match on a racy wicket in the first round of the tournament held at IOE premises today. After some hours delay, the match began with full enthusiasm by both teams. Batting first, CCRC made a total of 119 runs in their allotted 25 overs. Anupam and Puneet had a fair partnership till the sixth over where they made four hits to the fence. Bikash overtook Anupam in the seventh over but he too was caught out. Punit totted up the highest tally of 34 runs. In reply, UA overcame the target in style with Nabin Gurung as man of the match for taking 52 runs and claiming two wickets.
