Kathmandu, May 7:

Valley Public School and Trungram International Academy (TIA) won the girls’ and boys’ championships respectively in the third Kwik’s Greenland Inter-school Basketball Tournament here today.

Valley Public defeated Suryodaya School 24-16 to win the girls’ championship. Mrinalini Shrestha of Suryodaya won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award while Samischin Bista of Valley Public finished the highest scorer in the girls section.

In the boys’ section, TIA overcame Mount Glory 40-33. Mohan Limbu top scored with 14 points for TIA while Alin KC contributed 11 for Mount Glory.

Mohan Limbu earned the Most Valuable Player award while Alin KC, who contributed 11 points in the final for Mount Glory, won the highest scorer award.

President of Nepal Basketball Association Lama Tendi Sherpa among others

gave away the prizes.
