KATHMANDU: Rudranagar Sudhar Samiti felicitated national cricket team member Sharad Vesawkar here on Sunday. Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal handed over the letter of appreciation and Rs 50,111 to Vesawkar amidst a programme at the Nepal Cricket School in Ratopool. Vesawkar, who was a key figure behind Nepal’s qualification to the 2014 World Twenty, played match-winning knocks against Namibia in the ICC World Cricket League Championship at the TU Stadium last month. Sharad said the feeling of being honoured by the locality where he grew up playing cricket was awesome. “It motivates me to do better in future,” he added. President of Rudranagar Sudhar Samiti Basudev Marasini was also present on the occasion.
