LALITPUR: Hosts White House International College opened the third Under-19 White House Cup Inter-college Basketball Tournament campaign with a 48-22 victory over Orient College here today.

Prajwol Thapa top scored for the hosts with 20 points. A total of 34 teams — 23 in boys and 11 in girls sections — are participating in the league-cum-knockout tournament.

Earlier, the college felicitated record setting four-time South Asian Games gold medallist Deepak Bista. Bista, who has been working in the college as the head of sports, won his fourth consecutive gold at the recently held 11th South Asian Games in Dhaka.
