White House lift trophy

Kathmandu, October 10:

Sunam Gautam struck an unbeaten century to guide Himalayan White House to a 56-run win over Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) in the final of the Aditya Memorial Twenty20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today.

Batting first, White House amassed 173-2 before restricting CCRC to 117-9. Gautam (103) hit 14 fours and four sixes in his 68-ball innings.

In reply, Anil Mandal scored 48-ball 47 for CCRC that included six hits to the fence. Kshitiz Singh was the best of the White House bowlers with 4-16 in four overs. Man of the match Gautam took 3-22 while Dipesh Dutta and Rakesh Yadav claimed one each.

Gautam also bagged the man of the series award. Mandal was adjudged the best batsman and his teammate Manish Singh won the best bowler award.

Shambhujeet Balayar of the hosts Budhanilkantha ‘B’ was declared the best fielder of the tournament.
