Wilson, Galaxy in semis

KATHMANDU: Wilson Academy and Galaxy Public School made it to the semi-finals of the first Rum Pum Inter-school Cricket Tournament, organised by Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre, here at the Lab School on Monday.

Wilson defeated Greenland Children Academy by four wicket and Galaxy dispatched Brihaspati Vidyasadan one wicket.

In the first match, Greenland were all out for 72 runs in 18.2 overs with Angel Magar contributing 11 runs. Saurav Karn claimed three while Sudeep Jha, Ayush Bikram Rana and Nishant Singh Gurung bagged two wickets each for Wilson.

Wilson surpassed the total for the loss of six wickets in 16 overs. Amir Manandhar scored unbeaten 14 and man of the match Saurav chipped in 12 for Wilson. Manish Thapa claimed two while Madhav Shah and Tarjan Pun took one wicket each for Wilson.

In the second match, Brihaspati made 82-7 in their allotted 20 overs and Galaxy overcame the total losing nine wickets in 18.2 overs.

Nilabh Raj Pandey scored 17 and Pranav Bhandari made 10 for Brihaspati. RAbin Regmi was the pick of the Galaxy bowlers with 3-9.

Dipesh Agrawal scored unbeaten 35 off 39 balls to steer Galaxy home in 18.2 overs. Sushant Dutta Pandey completed a five-wicket while Roshan Dhungel claimed two for Brihaspati.
