KATHMANDU: Wilson Academy ‘A’, Peoples, Daffodil ‘A’ and ‘B’, and Nepalaya won their senior boys’ section matches of the 19th Wilson Hoops Inter-school Basketball Tournament here on Sunday.

The hosts defeated Heartland 31-10 riding in 13 points from Dilip Syanda, while Peoples outplayed Teresa 39-18 in which Sanket Shahi netted 13 points for the winners.

Likewise, Andy Gurung scored eight as Daffodil ‘B’ beat Greenfield 29-23, while Ang Phurba netted 12 in Daffodil B team’s 45-14 victory over Mangal Deep.

In another match, Nepalaya edged past NIBS 32-31 in which Dev Singh scored 20 points for the winning team.

In girls’ section, St Xavier’s defeated Manjushree 21-10 riding on 12 points from Kimti Shrestha, whereas Devani KC netted 20 points to lead SCIBS to a 43-11 victory over Daffodil and Yangchen Lama scored nine points as Mangal Deep defeated Zenith 15-13.

Also, Raman Thapa netted 14 points as Manjushree beat Wilson ‘B’ 31-8 in junior boys’ category match.
