Wins for NPC, Storm Brand

Kathmandu, March 29

Nepal Police Club, Storm Brand Activation, Nagarjuna Cricket Club, Tip Top and Lord Buddha Cricket Club won their matches of the khukuri-Devibas Super Eight Cricket Tournament here at the TU Stadium today.

NPC saw off Tikapur Cricket Club by 38 runs. Batting first, NPC scored 95-5 in seven overs riding on Ameet Shrestha’s 24 runs and restricted Tikapur to 57-3.

Similarly, Storm Brand defeated VM Warriors by two wickets. Warriors scored 63-6 and Storm Brand reached 68-6 in reply.

Kiran Budhathoki top scored for Warriors with 20 runs, while Subash Khakurel scored 23 runs for Storm Brand. Nagarjuna outplayed KBH Nepal by six wickets. KBH Nepal scored 46-7 with Suit Jha scoring 14 runs. Nagarjuna reached 48-2 riding on Roshan Budal’s 20 runs.

Likewise, Tip Top outplayed Nepal Sports Journalists Forum by 109 runs. Batting first, Tip Top posted 159-1 riding on Sonu Tamang’s 41 and Prakash Bista’s 36 runs. In reply, Avash Ghimire scored 23 runs and Subas Humagain contributed 20 as NSJF managed just 43-1.

Lord Buddha beat Tikapur Cricket Club by four wickets. Batting first, Tikapur scored 83-1 after Rabindra Jung Shahi and Rajan Bhattrai scored 28 runs each. In reply, Lord Buddha reached 87-4 with Aviraj Yadav scoring 41 runs.
