Wushu to get Chinese assistance

Kathmandu, March 21:

The Chinese Wushu Association is providing sports gears to Nepal Wushu Association to boost the preparation of Nepal for the upcoming 10th South Asian Games to be held in Sri Lanka later this year.

The Chinese Wushu Association is working to avail two coaches soon, the NWA said at a press meet today. The decision of the Chinse assistance was made following NWA’s vice-president Dipak Sarkar’s visit to China.

“The Chinese officials have taken our proposal to develop Nepal as the Regional (Asia) Wushu Centre positively,” president of NWA Sitkar Rajbhandari said. NWA also announced the regional and national tournaments for May. “National championships will be held immediately after the regional games, “ Rajbhandari said. “All the eight events, which are played in the SAG, will be held in the championships.”
