KATHMANDU: Both the teams of Xavier International College registered victories in the seventh Xavier International U-19 Basketball Tournament here on Monday.

In boys’ section, Xavier ‘A’ defeated Gyan Niketan 68-38 riding on 30 points from Prasang Maskey, while Bishal Gurung netted 11 points to lead the hosts ‘B’ team to a 45-38 victory over Newton.

Also, Golden Gate defeated Samriddhi 52-46, Morgan beat Panchari 36- 31, and Times hammered Trinity 61- 26.

In the lone girls’ section match, Chhiring Chhoke Sherpa scored 10 points as Samtiddhi outplayed Binayak Siddhi 32-14.
