Kathmandu, January 23

The Management Association of Nepal (MAN) will organise a conference here on February 5, focusing on the management aspects of the country’s reconstruction in the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes.

Member national-level associations of Asian Association of Management Organisation (AAMO), representatives from bilateral and multilateral development partners and diplomatic missions in the Capital are scheduled to join in the conference hosted by MAN.

MAN will launch the report on economic status of the country and management trends during the conference and award the best manager of the year (male and female), according to Sushil Bhatta, first vice president of the organisation.

“We expected the conference to help generate some ideas, which could be useful for the government and the newly formed National Authority for Reconstruction to carry out reconstruction drive in a more managed way.”

MAN, established in 1979, is considered the umbrella organisation of management professionals in the country.
