Michelin launched

KATHMANDU: Michelin, a French tyre company with a legacy of 130 years, has officially been launched in Nepali market by Sipradi, Nepal’s largest trading company.

Founded in 1889, Michelin provides tyres in over 170 countries with 69 production

facilities around the world. Michelin being leaders in innovation and

sustainable development for the mobility of people and goods, now will be made available in Nepal with product ranges offered in commercial, passenger and two-wheeler segments, as per a media release.

During the brand launch ceremony, Michelin logo and products were jointly unveiled by Pradeep Thampy, general manager of Michelin and Rajan Babu Shrestha, CEO of Sipradi Companies. Sipradi added Michelin to its company portfolio in 2016. Since then the company has been conducting intensive research on Nepal’s roads to provide tyres for specific needs of customers as per the road conditions.
