Two electrocuted at Nepal Telecom premises in Baglung

BAGLUNG: Two teenagers who were working at a construction site on the premises of Nepal Telecom office in Baglung district headquarters died after accidentally receiving electric shocks on Monday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Bam Bahadur Gharti (15) and Dudhan Gharti (15) of Nisikhola Rural Municipality in the district.

According to the Baglung District Police Office, Bam Bahadur was trying to dislodge a crow's nest from a tree with a rod when it accidentally brushed a high tension wire. His friend Dudhan rushed to help Bam Bahadur but he also received electric shocks.

Their bodies have been sent to the Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital for postmortem, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anil Khadka said.

Police are launching further investigation into the incident.

The teenagers were working as manual workers at the Nepal Telecom's under construction building a few days ago.
