11 gunned down in Manipur
Guwahati, March 18:
Suspected separatists fatally shot 11 migrant workers in three separate attacks in India’s remote northeast, police said today.
Seven migrant workers believed to be from northern Uttar Pradesh state were killed yesterday on the outskirts of Imphal, the capital of Manipur state, said a police officer. Another four workers were killed in two separate shootings today, the officer said. No one has claimed responsibility for the killings, but the officer blamed the separatists for the attacks.
