India bus mishap kills 23

A bus fell into a deep gorge in the northern hills of India, killing 23 people and injuring 13 others, police said today.
The accident occurred last night near Nainital, a hill resort 200 km southeast of Dehradun, the capital of Uttaranchal state, police officer Jeevan Chandra Pandey said.
"It appears that the driver lost control and the bus rolled down 200 metres into a gorge, killing 23 people, including the driver," Pandey said.
