KATHMANDU, MAY 19
An Indian Singaporean climber went missing near the South Summit on Mt Everest this afternoon.
According to a source at the base camp, Shrinivas Sainis Dattatraya, an Indian Singaporean climber, went missing from 8,500m from where he last contacted to the base camp officials.
However, a Sherpa guide who was with Sainis, has arrived at Camp IV at around 8:00pm, sources shared. Sainis was a part of the expedition organized by Seven Summit Treks.
Earlier, Malaysian police Ag Askandar Bin Ampuan Yaacub died while climbing Mt Everest this afternoon.
