NEW DELHI: Seventeen years after its composition, the Liberhan Commission finally submitted report on 1992 demolition of Babri Masjid to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

The report has been divided into four volumes. Home Minister P Chidambaram was also present during the occasion.

The government of India issued a press release here today stating that the Home Ministry would take appropriate action on the report.

Names of the people responsible for the demolition of 16th century mosque have not been disclosed but critics believe that some of the top Bharatiya Janata Party leaders may have been indicted in the report.

The government of India is expected to table the report to the parliament.

ML Liberhan refused to give the names of top politicians that might have been held responsible in the report for the demolition of 16th century mosque.
