KATHMANDU, APRIL 15

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 520 on Wednesday as 15 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,631 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 966,160 with 49 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,715 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,349 were PCR tests while 1,366 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,586,487 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed four positive case in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 19.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are 106 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
