TAIPEI: At least 20 Chinese were feared dead after the Taiwanese boat they were being smuggled in went missing during foul weather, officials said on Friday. The missing boat — Hsin Lien Fa 23 — was last seen on Sunday drifting off Fukuichiao at Taiwan’s northernmost tip, a coastguard said. — AFP

3 killed in J&K attack

SRINAGAR: Three Indian soldiers were killed and 20 injured when a powerful car-bomb exploded on Friday as a bus carrying troops passed a popular tourist attraction in Kashmir, police said. The explosion ripped the bus apart and shook the famed Mughal gardens on the shores of lake Dal in Srinagar, police said.— AFP
