Suicide bomb at Pakistan provincial official's home kills 4

SHADI KHAN: Police in Pakistan say a suicide bombing at the home of a provincial official has killed at least four people and more remain trapped in the rubble.

The fate of Shuja Khanzada, the home minister of Punjab province, wasn't immediately clear after the blast at his home Sunday.

Police officer Nadim Hussain says Khanzada was meeting with local residents when the attacker struck. He says the powerful blast brought down the roof of the hall where Khanzada's meeting was taking place, trapping many under the rubble.

Hussain says one person has been rescued alive from the blast and rescue efforts were ongoing.

The blast happened in the town of Shadi Khan in Punjab's Attock district, where Islamic militants have struck in the past.
