Train hits bus in northwestern Germany, 10 injured
BERLIN: German police say a train hit a bus on a road crossing, injuring 10 people.
Police in northwestern Osnabrueck said the driver of the articulated bus apparently stopped to let passengers on and off next to the crossing in nearby Melle on Wednesday.
But the back of the vehicle remained on the tracks. It was then hit by a freight train.
Two people were seriously injured and eight had minor injuries, including the drivers of the train and the bus, police said in a statement. There were about 15 people on board the bus at the time.
