Turkey says rocket from Syria injures 2 people
ISTANBUL: A Turkish official says a rocket fired from Syria fell in the border city of Kilis in southern Turkey, wounding two people and causing minor damage to building.
The two injured people were transferred to the local hospital for treatment, according to a statement issued by the governor's office.
This is the second time rockets fired from Syria hit Turkey this week. On Monday, three rockets landed in Kilis. One of them hit a schoolyard, wounding a cleaning lady and a student.
Kilis is adjacent to territory controlled by the Islamic Sate group. The Syrian conflict periodically spills over into Turkey, with shells landing in border towns and the Turkish military responding in kind.
