134 new Covid-19 cases registered on Wednesday; nationwide tally hits 272,349

Nepal on Wednesday reported 134 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 272,349.
Of the total cases, 63 are females while 71 are males.
In the last 24 hours, 65 cases surfaced in Kathmandu valley.
Likewise, 118 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.
As of today, 268,549 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 1,753.
The nationwide death-toll remains 2,047 with no fatalities reported today.
According to the health ministry, 3,567 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,104,626 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 88 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Tuesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 272,215 with 160 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, 2.3 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19 while over 107 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus.
