KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 9Gold price in the domestic market rose sharply on Monday, climbing by Rs 4,100 per tola, continuing the recovery trend after gaining ground on Sunday.According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 304,600 per tola, up from Rs 300,500 per tola on Sunday.The precious metal had earlier hit a record high of Rs 303,800 per tola on Magh 11, before entering a downward trend and touching a recent low of Rs 286,600 per tola on Magh 19. After that correction, gold prices have remained volatile but have gradually regained momentum in recent days.Similarly, silver price also registered an increase on Monday. Silver rose by Rs 240 per tola to reach Rs 5,250 per tola, compared to Rs 5,010 per tola on Sunday.Both gold and silver prices have been fluctuating in line with international market trends, with renewed buying interest supporting the recent gains.
