Kathmandu Valley registers 33 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 11

Kathmandu valley recorded as many as 33 new cases of the coronavirus infection, on Thursday.

Of the newly infected persons, 17 are females while 16 are males.

Kathmandu district alone witnessed 25 cases of Covid-19. Lalitpur reported seven new cases while Bhaktapur logged one case, today. At present, there are 1,045 active coronavirus cases in Kathmandu while number of the same in Lalitpur is 27 and that in Bhaktapur is 18.

501 people have succumbed to the contagion in Kathmandu while 163 fatalities have been reported in Lalitpur and 115 in Bhaktapur, so far.

Meanwhile, total number of people that have recovered from the disease in Kathmandu is 100,454 while 15,933 people have recovered in Lalitpur, and 9,126 in Bhaktapur.

Today, 81 new cases of Covid-19 surfaced in the country following which the nationwide Covid-19 tally has reached 272,430.

The nationwide death-toll has shifted to 2,052 with five Covid-related fatalities reported today.

Kathmandu is the only district with over 500 active cases in the country. On the contrary, Illam, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Mustang, Rukum West, Mugu and Achham are the eight districts with zero live infections.
