KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 15
On February 14, the Chief Minister of Indian state of Tripura during a public event stated that India's Home Minister and former Chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party Amit Shah has plans to form a BJP government in Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Soon after, a string of reactions to the statement started appearing in Nepali social media sphere.
The comments ranged from suggesting the Indian political brass to keep Hindutva politics out of Nepal and at bay, to simply labeling it a nonsense.
Is it even possible to do so to a sovereign country or is it just a political card to check the mood of the people?, a Twitter used asked.
