KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 19

Governor of Province 2 Tilak Pariyar has been released from his post and replaced by Rajesh Jha 'Ahiraj' following the recommendation from Cabinet and swift approval from President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on Friday.

According to the President's office, Governer Pariyar has been sacked from his post following approval of recommendation from the Council of Ministers. he was removed pursuant to Article 165 (1) of the Constitution.

In the same manner, Rajesh Jha who is known as Rajesh Ahiraj, has been appointed as the new head of state. His appointment was in line with the Constitution's Article 163 (2).

Governer Tilak Pariyar had assumed office on November 5, 2019.
