KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24

Leader of Bharatiya Janata Party Subramanian Swamy has welcomed the Supreme Court of Nepal's verdict leading to reinstatement of House of Representatives.

'Good news from Nepal.The Nepal Supreme Court quashed the Parliament dissolution and revived Parliament, 13 days given to do so,' Swamy posted on his Twitter timeline.

The former Minister and economist further stated that the Nepal-India relations that have suffered a blow in recent times can now be repaired. 'Nepali democratic leaders have been in touch me and my hope is democracy will be restored. India Nepal relations can be repaired then.'

On February 23, in a landmark decision, the Apex Court, overturned KP Sharma Oli government's decision to dissolve the House deeming it unconstitutional, thereby paving way for its reinstatement.
