Eight vehicles seized for excavating river products

DAMAULI, FEBRUARY 24

Police seized one excavator and seven tippers that were being used for excavating and transporting river-borne materials from different places of Myagde, Bandipur and Bhanu municipalities in Tanahun today.

Tanahun District Police Office DSP Yubaraj Timilsina said that police had seized eight vehicles used for the excavation and transportation of river-borne materials.

A police team deployed from Bhimad Area Police Office seized an excavator and a tipper from Seti River of Myagde Rural Municipality, Tanahun. Both excavator and tipper were handed over to Myagde Rural Municipality, and they were made to pay Rs 60,000 in fine.

A police team deployed from Tanahun District Police Office had seized four tippers while they were ferrying sand, boulders and stones from Bandipur Rural Municipality.

One tipper was seized from Damalghat of Bhanu Municipality. The tipper owner was fined Rs 20,000.

Similarly, a tipper was seized while it was excavating sand and boulders from Dhobhnghat of Myagde Rural Municipality.

The tipper owner was fined Rs 23,000.
