Indian and Pakistani border forces accept ceasefire along Line of Control from Wednesday mid-night

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 25

According to the Indian media, the Indian and Pakistani border forces have have accepted today, the observation of a ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, effective from Wednesday mid-night.

Issuing a joint press release, the armies of the both the dissenting nations informed that following the activity along LoC, the Indian Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), Lt Gen Paramjit Singh Sangha and his Pakistani counterpart, Maj Gen Nauman Zakaria held a talk via telephone.

The statement confirming the ceasefire between India and Pakistan came amid India's involvement in border skirmishes with China simultaneously at Galwan valley and northern Sikkim border points.

Recently, the Chinese and Indian soldiers had reportedly clashed in the Northern Sikkim borders, with injuries on both sides.

Similarly, the Chinese People's Liberation Army, for the first time, had acknowledged the Sino-Indian brawl at Galwan Valley from last year, publicising the names of four Chinese soldiers that lost their lives in the incident.
