Rights activist Muskan Khatun wins IWOC Award

The United States Embassy in Nepal has announced that Muskan Khatun will be honoured with the prestigious International Women of Courage Award for her work to end acid attacks.
First Lady of the United States Jill Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are scheduled to host a virtual event on March 8.
'The IWOC Award recognises women around the globe who have demonstrated exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for peace, justice, human rights, gender equality, and women's empowerment, often at great personal risk and sacrifice,' read a press release issued by the embassy on Friday.
