Prime Minister commits to addressing cases of Violence Against Women

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the Government of Nepal is committed to addressing cases related to Violence Against Women.
In a message on International Women's Day, the Prime Minister stated that various mechanisms at all three tiers of the government -- federal, provincial, and local -- were enabled to provide necessary services to address the issues.
He added, the government has brought the National Strategy and Action Plan to end Gender-based Violence into implementation.
Prime Minister Oli noted the contributions made and leading roles taken on by women in political, social and economic transformation of Nepal.
Today, International Women's Day is being marked across the country with the slogan 'Security, Respect and Employment: Base for Prosperous Nepal'.
